License Missing

Hi there!

For this yomitan-wiki repository there seems to be no licensing information. I guess it should be the same as for the main Yomitan codebase (GPL)?

For the content itself, a Creative Commons license might be appropriate. My proposal would be CC-BY.

If you want to do it correctly, all contributors to this documentation repository would need to agree to the license.

What are your thoughts on this?

We were also just discussing this internally.

Creative Commons for the content, and GPL for the codebase itself seems reasonable. It would be good gesture to notify all past contributors that commited to this repo about the licensing change too.

Probably ping all contributors in the PR that the license is being added, and if they're unhappy, they can retract their contributions.

So far this repository yomitan-wiki does not have any licensing information. We would like to add a license. For the code the license should be GPL license, just like the main Yomitan codebase (https://github.com/yomidevs/yomitan/blob/master/LICENSE). For the content itself the license should be CC-BY.

So far nobody who opposed the license change. So I guess we can add licensing information. What do you think, @Casheeew?

Should be good. We can always remove stuff later if needed as well. Contributions by anyone outside the yomitan team are very minor anyways.
