Momentary freezes in NPP after NavigateTo is installed

I'm using NavigateTo 2.7.1 on NPP 8.8.8 on Windows 11.

Since installing NavigateTo, I notice periodic short freezes in the NPP UI. While typing, the cursor will freeze a moment, then catch up.

Is this a known issue? Is it a possible interaction with other plugins?
