Off the top of your head, since you've already added so much premium features back here; do you think this would require additional custom code or could it just be a flag?
I see a lot of Zotero reference in the existing codebase, and a dedicated env var, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

It's definitely not just a flag, though I don't know how much work it will require, I haven’t looked at it yet.

I'll give this a try soon. I have a few users running already on this version. how do I switch them to yours?

You should be able to install the dashboard with Zotero integration without touching Overleaf (without installing the other packages in my repo). But let me retry in the next few days.

@alelotti96 Thanks for that. The idea of a manager dashboard could be a good alternative to putting everything inside the sharelatex image, why not? The upstream launchpad and git bridge could also be included there, and it makes a lot of sense. However, for now I’d prefer to follow the approach used by Overleaf: Zotero configuration should be handled in the user settings, and linking Zotero references could be done in the same way as linking a file from an external URL, except in this case no proxy is needed, since the link will be safe.

Once I finish the admin panel, I’ll probably start working on this.

(I think you need Overleaf CE to enable external url in projects)

Not that easy, you need add zotero as an oauth application, as you will redirect user to login and get a zotero key. And also we need to imply _Agent interface:
