feature: ability to filter results based on their score value

-s 230 or --score 230 to filter out all results with a score lower than that 230

I would use it as
rclip -f -s 230 cat

this way only images with high enough score are listed.

I can attempt to make a PR for this if its something that would be welcome

Hi @yurijmikhalevich in my case when i tried rclip, searching for cat images, it did give me the correct output in the first two results, but then it proceeded to list images that are completely unrelated - anything below a 230 was not a cat image. About 80% of the output was junk, but at least the score put the 20% on top of the list.

I was curious to see if i can make a nice little gui frontend for rclip over a weekend, but realized that it would would be a bit of extra work to parse the shell output when i want to filter them out by score. If i do the filtering directly in rclip - i may be able to make it a bit faster, make it do less work. Not sure if this is helpful at all - it still needs to process all images and sort them by score, but at least i dont have to iterate over the output again

@blurymind, I see. Thank you for sharing more context.

I have looked into filtering by score before, and the thing is that I didn't find a value which would be a universal threshold I would be comfortable applying to results by default. E.g., for cats, 230 may work, but for other queries, a lower or higher threshold could make more sense.

Also, the suitable threshold changes depending on whether you are using a text query or an image query.

After looking at this, I felt that simply showing top-n results and sorting them by score makes the most sense to me: I would prefer to see some irrelevant results, which I can ignore, rather than missing some relevant results because of threshold filtering them out. Plus, it keeps rclip simpler.

I'll give it a bit more thought and will leave this issue open to see if someone else has thoughts about this.

If you are building your GUI in Python, you could try importing rclip as a library. It's not officially supported, and the API you will use may change, but it could make integration a bit easier.

My UI uses react and electron so unfortunately wont be able to use directly as a library
