Sideberry isn't working?

I have been loving FlexFox so far but was wondering how to change the pink accent color on the sidebar and how to get the sideberry close and open animation. I uploaded the 2 files for sidebery but it still looks like the image I uploaded. Any help would be awesome!

The custom of accent color can be found in uc-custom-sidebery.css and uc-custom-variables.css.

• If you don't need quick access to the sidebar tool buttons, you can enable the uc.flex.remove-sidebar-stripe option to remove the sidebar stripe.

• If you prefer to keep the stripe, you can customize its accent color (along with the Firefox logo and the bookmark star) by doing the following:

  • Update to the latest v4.5.1 release.

  • In the components folder, create a file named uc-user-settings.css and add the following CSS, then adjust the colors as needed:

• About the Sidebery auto-collapse issue: please check the right-click menu of the sidebar toggle button (the Firefox logo icon). If the option “Customize Sidebar” → “Expand sidebar on hover” is enabled, please disable it. When this option is checked, FlexFox applies a different design where the toggle button switches between keeping the sidebar open and letting it auto-collapse. Since this option also disables several sidebar optimizations, it's not recommended for everyday use. If you need a way to keep the sidebar open, please refer to the README section: 🚀 Major Update: Layout Switching via Hotkeys.

I still can't get sideberry to auto-collapse when not on hover. Do you know how to enable that?

Btw it actually does work but once I click it opens sideberry and won't collapse and open. I did everything that you said before. Thank you for all the help you have given me so far!

Thanks for the update. When you say “once I click it opens Sidebery,” do you mean clicking the Firefox logo (the sidebar toggle button)? By default, FlexFox should auto-collapse Sidebery without any extra setting, so I'd like to confirm exactly what action is keeping it open.

In your screenshot, the Firefox logo looks greyed out, which usually indicates the sidebar is in a collapsed state. Could you try clicking the logo once to switch the sidebar into the expanded state and see if auto-collapse then works as expected?

If the issue persists, it would help to know a bit more about your setup:

1. Which operating system you're using
2. Whether you have any other themes or custom styles applied
3. If in the sidebar toggle button's right-click menu (“Customize Sidebar”) the option “Expand sidebar on hover” is unchecked

With this information, I'll be able to get a clearer idea of what might be happening.
