Unable to install in latest version of ComfyUI 0.3.44

After having done a completely clean ComfyUI install with the latest version, I am unable to install Upscaler Tensorrt, it keep giving an import failed error, which is the one below:

I have attempted "Try fix" and to change version, but it makes no difference. More info:

Based on this error, you have not installed tensorrt python module.
By default, in Windows, Comfy uses a custom python path, not a venv, so if you used the 'default' installation method you should run something like this,
open cmd.exe;

chdir /d "E:\AI\ComfyUI v4\ComfyUI\python_embeded"
python.exe -s -m pip install -r "E:\AI\ComfyUI v4\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\ComfyUI-Upscaler-Tensorrt\requirements.txt"

Same thing, Im on python 3.11.9, get same error. I have checked that Tensorrt module is installed, as it replies with REQUIREMENT SATISFIED, but comfyui fails to import this upscaler module

Finally got it working:

• Upgraded comfyui to 0.3.49 via the update_comfyui_and_python_dependencies.bat file.

• Used Python 3.11.9. I use portable comfyui, so make sure that the python files on your python_embeded are updated properly. I have not tried with 3.12.x.

• apply this install to make sure wheel is installed.

• Installed Tensort from the regular github repository. You might get errors when importing it into comfyui IF your python version is not updated as per previous step.

• Installed Tensorrt upscaler. Finally was imported fine into comfyui.

PROS:

• Stupidly fast upscaler. Takes time the first time to run since it needs to build the engine, but once done, it is LUDICROUS FAST, about 1s for a 1024 x 1024 4x upscale.
• Really easy to use, just put the nodes as mentioned on the install process.

CONS:

• The more you use it, the more your computer will slow down. First upscales are blazing fast, but after some repetitions, computer tends to slow down, even crash. Be careful with how big your upscale will be, as this node DEVOURS VRAM.
• Even after flushing VRAM with EasyUse nodes, it aleviates a bit how many times you can upscale without needing to restart comfyui or your whole computer, but it does not fix the issue.

It also did not work in the latest standalone version of ComfyUI for Windows (v0.3.57), which includes PyTorch 2.8.0+cu129 and Python 3.13.6. I resolved the issue by running the following commands inside the python_embeded folder:

.\python.exe -m pip install tensorrt-10.13.2.6-cp313-none-win_amd64.whl
.\python.exe -m pip install nvidia-cudnn-cu12==9.2.0.82 onnx polygraphy --no-cache-dir

I assume most ComfyUI users are on Windows and use the standalone version. It would be ideal if these users could use the module without needing to perform any manual setup steps.

How to install TensorRT

I use ComfyUI on Windows11.

ComfyUI version: 0.3.68
Python version: 3.12.10
pytorch version: 2.8.0+cu128

I read all your comments and the methods each of you used, but none of you specified exactly what needs to be done to make everything work.
I used the hints (ai-capybara), but that’s not the whole process.

What needs to be done:

1. Download tensorrt-10.13.2.6 from the NVidia website: (https://developer.nvidia.com/tensorrt/download/10x)
2. Choose your Python version (mine is Python version: 3.12.10). To install, open the folder with (python_embeded), right-click and choose (open in terminal) from the menu, then enter these commands one by one:
   ( python.exe -s -m pip install wheel-stub )
   ( python.exe -m pip install --upgrade pip setuptools wheel )
   ( python.exe -m pip install nvidia-cudnn-cu12==9.2.0.82 onnx polygraphy --no-cache-dir )
   Once these libraries are installed, proceed to install tensorrt.
   If you downloaded the file, for example (tensorrt-10.13.2.6-cp312-none-win_amd64.whl),
   and it’s located in another folder or on another drive, you don’t need to copy it to the python folder—just enter this command ( python.exe -m pip install ) and then drag and drop the file into the terminal window and press Enter.

If the file is located in the python folder, then run this command:
( python.exe -m pip install tensorrt-10.13.2.6-cp312-none-win_amd64.whl )
Just copy the name of the file you want to install and replace (tensorrt-10.13.2.6-cp312-none-win_amd64.whl) with your version.

After all this, you need to copy all dll files from the folder (TensorRT-10.13.2.6\lib) to the python_embeded directory.
That’s the whole process. After that, everything should start up. If these nodes don’t work (ComfyUI-Upscaler-Tensorrt) and (ComfyUI_TensorRT), you need to install (numpy-1.26.4.dist-info). How to install it:
Go to (https://pypi.org/project/numpy/1.26.4/#files) and download the (whl) file for your Python version and install it the same way as tensorrt—just enter this command ( python.exe -m pip install ) and then drag and drop the file into the terminal window and press Enter.
