How to disable opening of browser when clicking on link?

Hi 👋 ,
Would there happen to be a way to disable hyperlink in the editor?

After adding something like

[cool website](whaterver_url)

it shows with a blue underline. but how can I prevent this extension/vscode from opening the browser whenever I click on the link?

I do not want vscode to open the browser.
