Hi, I’ve been using Arc and noticed a few features I really miss in Zen that impact my workflows (and I haven’t seen them captured in other requests in this exact way):
Better Demarcation Between Pinned and Non-Pinned Tabs
Right now, trying to right-click in the pinned area or drag items around feels like an extreme sport. A clearer horizontal line and bigger padding between the pinned and non-pinned areas would make it much easier to work with.
Smoother Drag & Drop for Tabs and Folders
Dragging tabs or folders in the sidebar feels clunky, especially when selecting multiple tabs. Right now, they all move together as a long vertical block, which makes it hard to place them precisely. It would be great if multiple selected tabs could collapse into a single “stack” while dragging, with a small indicator showing the number of tabs being moved.
Move Tabs Between Spaces
Currently, there’s no way to move tabs between spaces. It would be really helpful to have a right-click “Move to Space” option on tabs (and ideally for multiple selected tabs as well) to quickly reorganize workflows across spaces.
Rename Commit on Click-Away
When renaming a tab, the change should commit if you click away, not only when pressing Enter. This would make renaming feel smoother and more consistent with other applications.
Renaming Non-Pinned Tabs
Currently, only pinned tabs can be renamed. It would be great if regular tabs could be renamed as well, which helps keep track of specific workflows or sessions.
Mini Toolbars in Split View
When using split view, it would help if each tab had its own mini toolbar (like in Arc). Right now, you have to reveal the main sidebar to access navigation buttons, and it’s easy to lose track of which site is in focus.
Extensions in Overflow Menu
Currently, extension icons can only be shown in the sidebar (which gets crowded quickly) or completely hidden. It would be helpful if extensions could also live under the overflow menu, so they’re still accessible without cluttering the sidebar.
Undo Actions in Pinned Area (Command+Z)
It would be really useful if Command+Z could undo actions performed in the pinned area — such as deleting folders, moving tabs into/out of folders, or removing a tab. Right now, mistakes in the pinned section feel permanent and a bit risky to manage.
Copying Multiple Links from Sidebar
Arc lets you right-click a tab to copy its link, but more importantly, you can select multiple tabs and copy all their links in a list format. This is extremely helpful for sharing or saving groups of tabs.
Resizable Compact Sidebar
It would be useful if the sidebar could be resized horizontally even when in compact mode.
