Yes I like this feature in Arc. It helps to keep a tidy browser. It would be great to have it in Zen. |

+1, I absolutely love this feature, I feel handicapped without it. In Arc and Dia I can just swipe on my trackpad, and it closes the tab if it has no history. |

Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS build here and I agree that perhaps some keyboard shortcut or adding "back" to the context menu (right click) should be implemented. It certainly doesn't seem to interfere with the goals of Zen. |

Current Behavior:
When a link opens a new tab, that tab has no history, so the Back button is disabled.
Idea
In some browsers (Arc, Safari), Back is active on tabs opened from another tab. Clicking the Back button or using the Back keyboard shortcut closes the tab and returns you to the page of the originating tab.
This behavior makes tabbed browsing feel more natural and prevents dead-end Back buttons.
