I just learn yesterday the existence of the Zen Browser, I installed it 3 hours ago, and I'm already liking it a lot!
I was a long time Chrome user, that switch to Brave 1 year ago.
I have now install all the extensions I use, imported my bookmarks from Brave. I'm ready to go, and I was ready to use it as my main browser.
The first time I do was to signup to Spotify, because I use it a lot, I probably listen to 4-6h of music everyday. But after 10 seconds, it become muted. After checking my sounds settings, I found some ticket about Zen Browser not having a DRM allowing playing copyrighted material :
I'm not blaming at all Zen Browser creator / contributors, I don't know a lot, but I understand that it must be hard to resolve this kind of issue, link with legal things, etc.
My question / discussion I open here is more about is there any information about the feasibility of having this fix, and so do we know how long it may take? To become a main browser for me, it's definitively something that will prevent me to use Zen as a browser ( I don't say that as a "treat", only as a fact).
Is there something as a community we can do ? I am really torn apart not being able to use Zen as a primary browser and I think it deserve all the chance to become more mainstream as an alternative to other browsers out there!.
English isn't my first language, so sorry if some sentences are not "polished". For the tone of my text, I'm not sure how it will turns out, but I don't want it to be perceive negatively, I'm just so trill about this browser, and frustrated a bit I would not be able to enjoy it so far.
