I also had problem with this feature, I finnaly noticed that you must have the Workspace (Experimental) enabled in the Tab Management Settings first, then in the browser, do a right click on the sidebar or toolbar and choose Change Theme Colors |

So I'm using macOS I've seen around this gradient color palette existing on Windows versions of Zen kind of like the one that is used on Arc. Thing is I've looked everywhere in the browser settings and I can't seem to find anything. I've tried installing some themes from the Firefox theme store but obviously there's nothing there.
So I'm concluding to myself that this feature is just not supported on macOS yet (both after the Twilight and beta versions and before). Is that the case?
