On tab focus: pull tab into zen instance that was focused

I'm using zen with i3 and vimium. Whenever I switch tabs using Shift+T (which opens a tab selection dropdown), the zen instance that holds the tab gets focused. This is inconvenient because I usually have up to three instances of zen open in different windows at the same time and I don't want to look through my windows to find the instance that held the tab open and is now being focused. Instead I would prefer it if the tab was pulled over to the zen instance that I was focusing. Is it possible to configure zen that way?
