Show an image preview when you hover on a tab

Will the image preview feature (already available in Firefox) come to Zen in the near future? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Exactly this! The last time this feature worked was in version 1.7.4b (which I am still using) and there was never a check box to enable or disable which would have been preferable to just eliminating this feature and forcing a small text box. I use a lot of tabs when working on game mods and site hopping and the tab image preview lets me see at a quick glance if the page has updated without having to actually click on the tab.

In about:config, set browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled to true

Yep, that's it. I still feel like it should have a checkbox under settings if they are going to set it to disabled as the default setting.

I just saw a mod that mentions tab previews. I wasn't able to find a setting for this so I ended up here, finding the information for the about:config setting. Is there a reason why this is not in the main settings?

ah nice, thanks for the pointer. I checked every preferences panel except "General" it seems.
I hope they will streamline the settings a bit. Tab and appearance related settings are in multiple places.

Still can't find this. It doesn't seem to be there on the Linux client maybe?

This setting is also missing on macOS (Sequoia 15.5), Zen 1.14.2b.

The about:config adjustment that @vraravam mentioned works great though!
