Open links in specific Zen workspaces based on domain name

All the solutions I've been able to find only work based on Firefox workspaces, which are 1) fixed, meaning you can't add new ones; 2) insufficient, at least in my case -- I have 4 workspaces that fall under "Work".

When you say "Firefox workspaces", do you mean containers? Those aren't fixed, you can add as many as you like or change them.

• to the right of "Enable Container Tabs" there is a button that says "Settings". Here you can add new containers, change their icons, change their names, and so on.

Hey, I finally got around to creating a couple containers, I've set up Containerise to open specific domains in those containers, I've assigned those containers as default for those workspaces, but opening a link (from outside Zen, from Zen as a new tab, from Zen as a page link) opens said link in whatever workspace is active atm, and if a default container is assigned to the workspace, the tab belongs to said container.

I was looking for exactly the opposite behavior (without containers if possible), so I assume it's just impossible?

After setting up workspaces, and containers (via the extension) AND associating a default container to each workspace - you will still need to open a url, and then using the icon that shows up in the address bar, you need to set the "Always open this url in ... container". Once that is done, and the next time you open that url, the extension will kick in.

True, but that still opens the URL in whatever workspace is currently active. The containers work as expected, but it's just not what I was looking for in the first place, apparently.

hmm - i dont see that issue. I have teams/outlook configured for my client workspace and client-container. So, even if I get a link in my work container, clicking on it switches me to the client workspace and opens the tab there in the client container. I am on the latest twilight version - if that makes a difference.

have you clicked on this icon and selected the container in which the current tab's url is to be opened in (the next time its opened)?
