I'm was pretty happy with Zen overall but I just have to pass for now as it lacks decent UI customization options and forces UI elements that I can only describe as bloat.

The amount of people who want a big "Default Workspace" banner in TWO DIFFERENT PLACES of their browser's UI for example, is probably in the single digit worldwide. No one cares, no one uses them ever, yet its there and I cant even hide the bottom one :
Compact mode is also not integrated properly, so playing a video in full screen for example tricks the sidebar into playing the expend/contract animation when it shouldn't (if in compact mode of course).
I wanted a more customizable, somewhat "privacy focused" firefox based browser, and that's unfortunately not it.
I just want to be able to right click things and they go away if I want them to, that's literally it.
Do that and I will happily come back.
