How to disable new tab links followed in pinned tabs defaulting to opening with glance?

I like glance in some contexts, but I don't like how it's the default for target="_blank" links in pinned tabs. Is there any way to disable this behavior so that I can use the glance shortcut (Alt+LMB) to decide on my own whether I want to use glance?

(Replying to bot for documentation purposes.) This is a relevant issue, but I'm not marking this as an answer as it requires disabling glance completely which is not ideal. The issue has been marked as a bug, so perhaps a future update will correct this behavior or add a workaround. I'll follow that issue and keep this thread updated.
