Side panel toggle behavior

The thing is this: should the side panel open when I slide the mouse from left to right? It makes more sense that it should only open when sliding to the direction it is facing. In this case, from right to left.

I'm having a lot of accidental openings when I come from left to right. Usually you go from right to left to find your tabs. I think in UX matters it's better to have only one opening direction.

From top to bottom doesn't trigger.
