How to enable original behavior when opening new tabs?

Hi.
For a long time, many updates ago I've been wondering how to enable the original behavior of the new tabs functionality?
Nowadays when opening a new tab doesn't open a new tab but a floating bar for viewing your popular links, searching or typing an url. Checking the configurations of the browser I cannot find anything that allow me to revert this behavior.
