Can we configure new tabs to open last on the sidebar?

I usually have a set of tabs that are always open on my workspaces (like whatsapp, gmail etc). I like them to stay in the same position as i can easily navigate with cmd + #tab number

The problem is that in Zen, new tabs come first, changing the tabs numbers. Could we set up if we want the tabs to open firts or last in the order?

Seconding this — same Feature Request i just wanted to open. I am currently using a subpar workaround
with ­ browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent — true

But this of course always opens a new Tab after the Tab you have currently selected — problem if you are on your first of multiple open Tabs.

hey, apparently you can set it in Settings > Theme and experience > Unselect the "Move New Tab button..."

or just fix the tabs that you want in oder, the new tab will always come after them too

I kinda discovered this just after opening the request

oh wow, very unexpected that the location of the new tab button affects ctrl+t, especially because I disabled the new tab button...
