Hold and drag window

How about the ability to hold down the left mouse button (or whatever button) for a second or so on the menubar and allow the window to be dragged around. Perhaps change the cursor to the system Move cursor. I have a flexible space but then I have to move the mouse across the window and have that wasted empty space I don't like seeing. Releasing the mouse button would stop the move.

I've never seen this done before, perhaps there is a reason but it doesn't seem like it would interfere with any controls on the menubar and provide an innovative way to be minimal and zen...
