Opened tabs in floating bar - radical minimal layout

I've been using Zen lately and I really liked the floating url bar. I think the idea could be developed even further and add a minimal mode to the layout - get rid of all the panels!
Idea:

• floating url bar
• under the address form all, numbered, open tabs
• under tabs pined bookmarks icons
• using the numeric keypad or by clicking you can switch to the tabs
• priority selection of opening a bookmark over opening a new address
• option to open floating url bar by pressing any key (replacing one of the search options)
