Huh, I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to enable swipe gestures between workspaces until I found this discussion. Agreed that it shouldn't require the system preferences toggle - but for me at least, the swipe gestures were one of the last things making me stick with Arc. Now that I can use them (even if they're a little more finicky than Arc) I can make the switch. |

This is essential in my opinion. I've looked around and seen several users expressing this same frustration. It also doesn't make much sense from a design perspective, I think? You're unlikely to ever accidentally switch spaces—surely not enough for it to ever be a problem—so it shouldn't be tied to that setting. Having to snipe my space buttons to switch, which I do frequently, is driving me up the wall, so I desperately hope they fix this; it genuinely harms the MacOS experience so much. |

After a few months, I redownloaded Zen a few days ago and ran into this problem again. At this point I just refuse to enable the swipe MacOS gesture haha. I am unsure how to progress this issue, since actually submitting an issue for a feature request redirects me here. I (and I imagine the rest of us) would really like to see this implemented. |

In order for swiping between workspaces to work in Zen, the "Swipe between pages" gesture must be enabled. Honestly, I cannot stand having this swipe between pages gesture enabled in general, I find it very frustrating. I frequently accidentally activate it in various apps/browsers and lose my session. If there was a way to have swipe integration without requiring this option, that would be ideal. In Arc this feature doesn't require this gesture to be enabled.
