[help] can someone explain syncing tabs/bookmarks please

I used to use arc and then went back to safari because safari has the most simple implementation of bookmarks: just a favorites bar and that works well enough for me, but i do like essentials and workspaces, they bring a very good segregation of work and personal yet keeps things that cross both (like github, vercel)

i started using zen around 3 months ago and i love the customization, it is simply the best. there are some bugs but as to be expected so they dont really bother me (most of the time). but there is something i dont get, bookmarks (or similar features of saving tabs) is an absolute mess that i as a regular user do not get. I do not understand containers, are they just workspaces+ or something? workspaces sync across devices but not the pinned tabs, just the name and icon. if i have anything pinned when i close the last tab the window does not close (yes ive messed with the settings nothing works unless i get rid of any pinned tabs/essentials). essentials do not sync cross device. bookmarks (ctrl + b) do sync but i dont want them, i want them in the workspace/sidebar.

i am not an overly techy guy but i have some experience and i cannot figure out how to get pinned tabs/essentials that sync across devices AND when i close the last tab to close the window, someone please helppppp

Tested on all with the same results:

• Win 10 PC
• iMac
• MacBook

yes im signed in with firefox and even click the sync button, and have workspaces toggle enabled in the sync options

other then this zen is absolutely incredible
