Floating search bar auto reset

Is it currently possible to make the floating search bar auto reset everytime it closes?

For example after Ctrl + L and starting to type, if you then close it again without entering, i would like it to reset back to the url of the page you're currently on.

Or Ctrl T, when searching something, if you cancel / close it, it should clear the text next time you open it.

I'd like to know if and how i could set this up, since this fits my workflow a lot better.
