Why is the pin tab button gone in incognito mode?

Hello! after the last update (on windows) I noticed that the pin tab button was gone in incognito windows. I pretty much only use incognito mode all the time and I loved being able to pin the 3/4 websites that I constantly go back to while working. For now I found a workaround using a firefox extension that allows to pin tabs with a keyboard shortcut but is there any way to enable it again? I have seen a few threads about essentials and pinned tabs but nothing that specifically address this change in incognito mode.
