Bring back the icons

Revert this latest change:

Icons are helpful. They improve legibility and make things easier to navigate. They also looked awesome, not at all convoluted.

Bring them back or at least give us the option to enable them, please.

I installed Firefox and noticed that the menu doesn't have icons too. Then came across this article.
That said, I still feel that having icons would make the interface more visually appealing and efficient. It's a bit unfortunate.

I'm sorry Mozilla, but this just seems objectively wrong. I've found it way harder to find options with just the text and options.

Icons are crucial because they act as muscle memory.

If you used context action couple times, you already remember its icon. So when you need to use it again, you look for icon, and icons stand out much.
Need to search selected text? Press magnifying glass icon, no need to read text.
Need to copy link url? Press link icon, no need to read text.

And without icons? You need to read all menu items to find required action.
It is downgrade for user experience.

Removal of icons from the context menu is a downgrade in terms of user experience. Icons make spotting the related action easier as they are perceived as a whole. Without icons, you have to skim through the entire menu for the option you are looking for. Additionally, if the position of a menu item ever changes, an icon will prevent your muscle memory from collapsing.

A cleaner UI does not always mean a better UX, and I find it really hard to find the option I am looking for without icons. Some apps I use do this, such as Visual Studio Code, and this slows me down in such cases.

As another example, IntelliJ IDEA has icons in a subset of menu items, and they are always easier to find than the ones without an icon.

Can attest to this firsthand. In this same update, the "Unload Tab" menu was no longer at the bottom. I guessed it was also removed. Just noticed that it's still there, but it's now moved to among the top of the list instead of the bottom.

If there were an icon, it would've stood out from a sea of other blobs of text & I'd have already quickly noticed that it had moved.

I lived through the exact same thing a moment ago, I thought it was removed until I came back here and saw this comment. As the old "Tab Unloader Actions" submenu is gone, I thought it could have been gone as well.

I had to hunt for the "unload tab" option, scanning each and every option's text until I found it. It was not a good experience.

I second this, I absolutely miss the icons. It's now way harder to navigate the context menu. It's way easier to look for an icon than for some text.

Let it be an option.

For now, you can copy the chrome.css from the repo into your userChrome.css file.
I'll submit it to the Zen Mod store as soon as submissions are open again (they disabled issues which is used for the request).
