How to make a delay for sidebar before open?

Is this something i could use about:config flags to improve? I'd like a 1 second delay when I hover on the left side of the screen in compact mode before the sidebar opens. Why? Because it opens constantly when I am clicking on things in the left side of the screen. The self imposed delay timer would allow the user to self select the ideal delay time for their own experience.
