Workspace specific bookmarks bar #8964

The bookmarks engine is inherited from Firefox so there's only so much that's implemented -- although there was a time when Firefox on Mobile would only use its own branch of bookmarks rather than the Desktop ones, so there's code somewhere that implements this kind of behavior (but client-specific rather than workspace-specific). As-is you can Edit Bookmark (or Edit Bookmark Folder) and designate which Workspaces the item should be displayed for. In essence this mimics the ability to customize which bookmarks would appear for a given workspace; if the workspace is configured to use a specific container, then the new tab should open within that container (and thus carry on that container's security context/cookies) -- and this could permit reusing some bookmarks while filtering others. (This is how I leverage my bookmarks bar; some folders only appear in their permitted workspace.) |

Hopefully someone could write an extension. The problem with Zen is there is no API. So developers can develop for FireFox but if they want to specifically use workspaces, they have no way to write to them. |

I've done some searching but have not seen this idea suggested which may tell me it's a) not possible or b) a bad idea.
I like the bookmarks bar and I use the multiple toolbars layout (not that that matters) but I use different workspaces for different purposes (e.g. work vs personal vs project a vs project b vs etc). It'd be great to have the bookmarks bar have different bookmarks per workspace so that when I'm in my work workspace I see work bookmarks in the bookmarks bar and personal would have different bookmarks showing.
Right now, there is a single set of bookmarks that show in the bookmarks bar. You can organize these into different folders but that's not the best UX.
I will also admit, this isn't how this bar works in any browser so I'd also prompt that would this also be confusing?
