you have to go into the advanced config (about:config) options and search for "zen.urlbar.replace-newtab". Set it to false and you will have the old new tab method instead where it will use the settings about the new tab page from the normal settings menu |

Hello! Could you please add an option to open a true new tab directly—literally a full new tab?
I like that clicking "new tab" currently brings up the floating address bar, but I really miss the experience of opening a full new tab and being able to use the shortcuts and features that come with it.
I know it's possible to do this by right-clicking on the tab panel, but I would love to have it happen automatically, just by clicking “new tab.”
