Tab switching is reversed #9719

Hi @LevelWilson! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team. There isn't a config option to change how CMD + Number shortcuts assign to tabs in Zen. This behavior is hard-coded and mimics horizontal tab order, which can feel unintuitive with vertical tabs. Some users have suggested adding shortcuts for moving up/down the vertical tab list, but that's not currently available. For now, you can use CMD + Option + Left/Right Arrow on macOS to move between adjacent tabs, which might help with navigation in the vertical layout. More details and discussion are available here. To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? Good | Irrelevant | Incorrect | Verbose | Hallucination | Report 🐛 | Other |

Is there a way to change which tab CMD + 1 is assigned to?
On vanilla Firefox, it brings you to the first tab you've opened. However, on Zen, it brings you to your latest tab (unless you have essentials pinned to your sidebar). I think this might be caused by the way that tabs are managed with the vertical bar, but I don't think it's intentional. It's just a bit frustrating. Every tab you open shifts the other tabs to the next CMD + Number shortcut.
Please let me know if there is a way to change this via config or anything. I've been searching around for a while, but I haven't been able to find a solution yet.
