Is there a way to have a Safari-like "Siri suggested website" autocomplete that goes directly to a site? #9839

Hi @deviantintegral! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team. Zen doesn't currently support a Safari-like "Siri suggested website" autocomplete that prioritizes a top hit or deep URL directly in the address bar. The autocomplete in Zen mainly completes full URLs and shows shortcuts to frequently visited sites, but these aren't prioritized as a top hit and may include sites you haven't actually visited. There's no setting or about:config option to show recent searches or a "top hit" style suggestion by default; suggestions only appear as you type. Bookmark suggestions do show up, but not at the top by default. Some users have requested features similar to Safari's autocomplete, but there's no indication of an existing or planned implementation for this behavior in Zen. Extensions like VimiumC can customize suggestion behavior, but they don't replicate Safari's feature either. More details are in this discussion and here. To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? In Safari, you can search in the address bar and it will show as the first result a top hit. It's often just a domain, but sometimes will be a deeper URL within a website. For example:
Is there any way to replicate this with Zen?
