What happened?
I have been using zen for 4 days and im loving it . So , i was gonna turn it into my primary browser . But i noticed something strange . At first i could use ublock in zen for testing the browser . Then i setup Nextdns in my device . Then the wrong things started . I saw that when i use ublock the ram usage would be around 1300 to 1900 and the cpu usage around 1.2 to 15 percent . But when i disable the ublock and start my dns to block ads . Suddenly , the reasouce usage spikes up to ram usage 1500 to 2500 and the cpu usage 2.1 to 20 percent . Meanwhile the amount of tabs are same . I was using 4 or 5 tabs while taking those pics . I didn't even setup the dns in the browser . Instead i set it up on my ** system network preference section** .

Expected behavior
Some people will say whats the wrong extention using low resources. The prob isn't with the ext but completly fundamental. You see the concep tof adblocking dns service like adguard and nextdns , is using them to block ads without using any resouses from the device instead it removes the ads and trackers from the associated server . As a reasult resource intensive tasks like adblocking has become versy efficient by using them . Other then using resorce heavy extentions.Thats why my browser was supposed to be using more less resouces then using extensions.
Actual behavior
But what is happening is completly like uno reverse . while using dns zen using more resouces then using ublock .
Steps to reproduce
well reproducing it quite easy
- check out nextdns.io .Creat a account in it and set it up on ur device .
- set ur dns preference to default.
- check out the task manager and u will see it .
- And yeh im using adguard , nextdns 1host lite , osid blocking list in the dns . So amke sure to set it up .
