Compact mode non hide stuck

What happened?

Hi there,
im using compact mode with hiding mode but sometimes like in every hour; compact mode stuck on non hide mode so i have to open and close hide mode every time; thats how i can fix it.

Expected behavior

it has o be hiden when the mouse on other areas

Actual behavior

its doesnt hide the side bars

Experiencing the same issue with 1.18.5b on macOS 26.2. Not sure what caused it, or how to get the sidebar to retract again (disabling/re-enabling compact mode did not resolve it).

Actually reproduced on macOS: put a tab into the renaming input a few times, then use the shortcut to close the tab.

@mr-cheffy yes, but some times I'll need to put more tabs into renaming state and closing more tabs to trigger that. Let me try disable all zen mods and try again
