Preliminary Checks

  • I have read and understood the important section above.
  • I have searched existing issues and avoided creating duplicates.
  • I am not filing an enhancement request.
  • I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
  • I have checked that this issue can be reproduced once I removed all my Mods and Custom CSS.

What happened?

With two Zen windows open and Window Sync enabled, creating a new space in the first window syncs that new space to the second window, but the second window also gets a newly created folder unexpectedly.

The space itself syncing to the second window seems correct. The unexpected folder creation in the second window does not.

Expected behavior

Creating a new space in one window should sync the new space to other open windows without creating any extra folder.

Actual behavior

When a new space is created in one window, the second synced window receives the new space and also creates an unexpected folder.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open two Zen Browser windows.
  2. Enable Window Sync.
  3. In the first window, create a new space.
  4. Switch to the second window.
  5. Observe that the new space is synced there.
  6. Observe that a new folder is also created in the second window unexpectedly.
