What happened?

This launcher is off center. Also the drop shadow is too big and soft.

Can we please fix these inconsistencies?

Expected behavior

Centered.

Actual behavior

Off center.

I may be wrong but the New Tab window is centered relative to the window by design, not the webview. I think you can change this with custom CSS

In this case I think it should be centered to the drawing area, why should it take into account also the tab area? And why should we correct obvious bad design?

Correct, this is a deliberate design choice

This is a very bad design choice, not to mention it is poorly implemented. The black level and the drop shadow have nothing to do with the rest of the application. But... you have the final saying.

Correct, we are waiting on firefox to finish their backdrop implementation so we can properly add blur
