I have been editing my saves and I believe I reloaded nomnom while saving an edit on my long term save, deleting it when I next loaded NMS. I immediately went and downloaded the whole backups folder in nomnom but I cannot figure out how the meta and data folders are meant to be formatted for an empty slot. I am running the xbox app version and some backup folders do not have both meta and data files. I am not sure which numbers correlate to which subsave files as none of the numbers match. I have gone from 5 operable subsaves to 1 while experimenting to find which files correlate, even though all I did was transfer older timestamped saves out, load nms, and then transfer them back in before loading nms again to see if they loaded. Do I leave files labeled meta.(numbers) when transferring or do I remove the prefix? which numbered files do they go under? I noticed the containers.index file shrunk to only have text mentioning save 4 now, which I assume is the only save still communicating with NMS. When i rename the data files (the ~20kb ones) and give the backup file the name of the current existing file NMS loads a save telling me it was last played in 1970 and has no playtime. I'm assuming this is a formatting mistake on my part.
TLDR I have known just enough to make a save deletion problem much worse, and automatic nomnom method does not seem to apply. Please provide step by step instructions for how to apply the timestamped zip file to the NMS wgs/number folder.
