I assume there will be a PR on the zephyr side that adds SoC and a board that uses this?

Yes, I will make it in the nearest future.
I have one question. We use in the project our custom board on the base atsamr34. Can I add only support SoC for ATSAMR34 or I should need sure to add support for a dev board on this MCU?
