Can board.cmake be changed/altered from the application?

Hello all,

I am adding an external memory to a Nucleo H745ZIQ and I was wondering if I could append the following code from the application without the need to directly modify board.cmake

        board_runner_args(stm32cubeprogrammer "--port=swd" "--reset-mode=hw")
        board_runner_args(stm32cubeprogrammer "--extload=XXXXXXXXX.stldr")
