This mail mentions the transition to Discord, it also contains a link to meeting minutes that has some discussion about the transition. |

thanks, but that's basically just switching from one closed platform to another. I get that the maintainers might need something for work-related chat, but I think the whole point is that it shouldn't be the default for wider community. |

Yes, please lets move away from Discord. I personally find it too difficult to seek out answers and it's very difficult to follow discussion threads. Much better forum platforms out there (e.g. discourse). |

I see that the only previous discussion on the topic has been closed due to not following the code of conduct, but I think the question/raised sentiment is more than valid. What's the reason for shutting off important information behind a closed platform?
The learning curve for Zephyr is anyway steep, and not finding relevant answers easily means that people need to waste more time reinventing the wheel, or other people always answering the same questions. The answer about the documentation in the response on the previous topic is also not very helpful/true - the doc contains info about the newest few versions, but looking at anything except for that is almost impossible.
Is there a good reason for keeping the community on Discord? Are there any plans to reevaluate this?
