@kartben I'm hoping for a little clarification here on when we update releases and versions of 3rd party software. When @mmahadevan108 tried to merge a CMSIS version update (that was scheduled for the original release but missed the deadline), there was push back saying (if I recall correctly) that we don't change versions in releases except for LTS. This is updating the percepio to a new version, does it not fall into the same category?

This one is effectively fixing a bug, according to the linked issue, which I don't think the CMSIS stuff was?
