Why wrap a module where it's contents are only itself

I mean not a bug could be found of course.  But it raises the question as to why?

I think this must be a joke or something after one to many beers or ..?

I only found this because I was looking for the source code for fs, but yeah gee it is in the node folders, I was just to lazy to look though the file system.
