Description

@seanmiller26

The Explore section is the new central exploration space for all Zooniverse collections across all projects. This page replaces the legacy pages at /collections and /favorites.

It is accessed from a user's logged-in collections tabs or a project's Collect pages. Future possibility: link in top right dropdown, or a section in the site nav bar.

Clicking on either MY tab will redirect to the logged-in user collection/favorite pages. Those tabs do not show for a logged-out user or one who doesn't own any collections or favorites.

Ideal backend addition to help exploration: Filter for collections with a minimum of 2, 3, 4 subjects

This was an assumption which was confirmed during user testing: participants do not want to browse collections because of the high volume of noise - collections with 1 subject which don't tell a relationship with their contents.

Tester: "I don’t see the value in browsing because I’m bogged down by the single-subject collections"

Having the choice to filter out those collections with a lower number of subjects would help with the bigger goal of serendipitous discoveries.
