Second zwave-js-ui for Zooz 800 Long Range usb controller

I've set up a second Z-Wave JS UI Docker instance on my machine, running alongside an existing one. I can access the new instance at http://192.168.0.150:8092/#/control-panel and successfully integrate it with Home Assistant. Both platforms show the new controller.

However, I'm encountering issues when trying to add devices. When attempting to add them from Home Assistant, the process consistently times out, and the devices themselves also time out. The same problem occurs when using Smart Start Provisioning (either via QR code scan or DSK input); the devices never appear in Home Assistant or the Z-Wave JS UI control panel.

I've already removed these devices from my old controller and performed factory resets on them. My goal in setting up this second controller is to improve reliability for devices in my outbuilding shop.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Just to be sure I understood correctly, you have 2 different controllers connected to 2 different ZUI instances but each one managing a subset of your devices, right?

Could you share some logs?

I am utilizing a dual Z-Wave controller configuration within my Home Assistant environment. Both controllers are managed by Z-Wave JS UI instances, operating within a Docker container. Home Assistant has successfully identified both controllers, and their respective user interface consoles are fully functional.

The controller I am currently attempting to provision with new devices is the Zooz 800 Series Long Range Controller.

Regarding the log data, I presume you require the logs from the aforementioned new controller instance. I apologize for the delay in providing these, as I have been otherwise occupied. However, I will retrieve them promptly. I anticipate minimal activity within this new instance's logs, as I have not observed significant events thus far. Could you please specify the particular activities or events you wish to observe within the logs (e.g., device inclusion attempts)?

Just to cover the basics:

• You have set both controllers to the correct region? The one from the log is currently set to USA with LR.
• You have added SmartStart QR codes to the correct instance?
• The devices are actually excluded from their old network? Have you tried performing an exclusion on them again? You can do that on any controller, even one of the new ones. The process should quickly stop with "no devices removed".

The new and old controller are both set to USA.
Then devices(3 of them) are no longer listed on the old controller. I have also done a hard factory reset on the devices I wanted to add to the new controller.
The QR code are listed on the new controller / zwave-js-ui instance. I have no idea what happens after I add using the qr code.

Can you try performing the exclusion on the devices again with the new controller, even though they are not part of that network? It might be that the devices are still thinking they are included, which will cause them not to try joining again.

After you've scanned the QR codes and made sure they are active, you need to power up the devices you want to join. If they have been on for too long they may need to be power cycled.

I have tried excluding on the old network with no positive response, time out on controller and red light on device(zooz). I will try excluding on the new controller also.

Could it be these device are not being seen by the new controller? These devices are out in a shop. Maybe I should try a long range device in the house first?

Excluded a device From old controller.

Excluded a device from the original controller closer to new controller in the basement stairwell of the house.(zooz ZEN73 toggle) No issues.

Adding Switch to new LR controller

Trying to add using scan code from the zwave-js-ui. No joy and long range not being offered as option. Shows up in provisioning, but never shows up in control panel.

Deleted from provisioning. Tried to exclude from new controller, but switch is not acting right. Getting flashing red light, switch not controlling load now. Tried to factory reset switch. Nope. Powered circuit off / on. Now factory reset worked.

Added back to provisioning using code. Now in the list and active, but nothing is happening. Dose not show up in control panel.

How is provisioning supposed to work? Does the provisioned device show up in on the control panel?

I think my devices I'm trying to add are NOT being seen by the controler. They are possibly too far from the new Zooz 800 Long Range controller. I was able to add a Zooz LR Temp/Motion sensor by using the QR code and having the new device right next to the Zooz 800 LR controller stick. I will relocate the Zooz controller.

Has anyone tried USB over ethernet? My server is in the basement, but I would like the USB stick upstairs.

Yep, that was it. Controller had to be re located with a usb extension cable into the basement rafter and out from the wall a bit. Now all the long range devices show up.

Guess that answered most of your questions. About this comment:

The UX here is not the most intuitive - you should get the blue circle around "Z-Wave" when the device is LR capable. Click that before joining and it will switch the protocol to LR.
