Support for WIFI/Network Printers

Being able to print via Network/Wifi would allow for cleaner installations of printers around gaming tables without a USB lead.

Hey! Thanks for the issue. What operating system and printer setup are we talking? From the top of my head:

• On Mac/Linux you should be able to add a network printer into CUPS and then just print to it. S&D does not really care where the printer is, as long it is available through CUPS. Remote IPP addresses like ipp://username:password@localhost:631/printers/PrinterName are also supported.
• On Windows the "Windows Direct Printing" picks up the printer that are setup in the system. I think this should also work with a network attached one.

So as long as you can get the printer registered in the OS it should work 🤔

To be fair. I didn't try using a thermal printer so far that I directly connected via Wifi, but if you give me some more details I gladly try getting it working 😄

Issue is that these printers need a PPD to work with CUPs correctly as they don't provide IPP endpoints, etc. That functionality is deprecated and will be removed at some point. Having the ability to completely sidestep CUPS improves that outcome.

Also WRT your question of how it works, I believe it's just doing what CUPs is being told to do which is open a socket and pipe ESC/POS commands at the endpoint on a port (9100 usually) via TCP
