Python 3.8 is nearing the end of life. On my fork, I have already tested Metax against Python 3.11 in CI pipelines without issues. You could update pyproject.toml python version pin; for reference, my fork version pin looks like this: https://github.com/EarthModule/fairdata-metax-v3/blob/master/pyproject.toml#L18
Python 3.12 is currently in the bug fix stage, so the logical upgrade would be 3.11.
