Thank you for the first look. The majority of first website views are on mobile devices, like I did.
On a mobile phone –

1.   Text associated with the News & Events/Donate/Our Programs just runs down the screen.  Suggest only titles, and shorter:  Events/Donate/News
   

2.   Don’t think Programs deserves a button as much as Events/Donate/News, but could be there
   

3.   Donate should take you directly to PayPal.  Contact Us is adequate for in kind donations.
   

4.   Identify that you are a 501c3, that carries weight
   

5.   Don’t like the way the primary (top level) menu is open (not compressed) when selecting from Events/Donate/Programs, and possibly from other menu selections (mobile experience)
   

6.   Why aren’t you using a popular CMS?  WordPress/Drupal/Joomla?  See:  http://w3techs.com/technologies/overview/content_management/all 
   

7.   I’m spinning up WordPress sites, using the Genesis Framework by StudioPress.  Let me know if you would like me to mock up your site in a subdomain of mine.  I can publish multiple sites with Genesis at no additional charge.  I own all the themes in their bundle.
   

8.   Background image might be a nice addition
   

9.   Events and News could be available in primary (top) menu, a helpful addition.  Programs too.
