Are you using the latest driver?
Yes (displaylink 6.2-1)
Are you using the latest EVDI version?
Yes (evdi 1.14.16-1 via DKMS)
Linux distribution and version
Omarchy 3.8.0
Kernel version
Linux 7.0.3-arch1-2
Desktop environment
Hyprland 0.54.3 (Wayland)
Hardware
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12
DisplayLink USB-C Dock
Problem summary
After updating Omarchy to 3.7.0 and the Kernel to 7.0.3, DisplayLink output works, after reboot. But hotplug functionality no longer works. I need to reboot for the monitors to work.
Mouse and Keyboard connected to the Dock still work.
What I already checked
evdi is built for current kernel and loaded
DisplayLink service is active (displaylink-driver.service)
rolled back to 6.18.28-1 LTS Kernel. Still no improvement
issue appears tied to Wayland/Kernel + evdi interaction after upgrade
Workarounds tested
Rebooting or relogging, these work.
