1. I think this is your own protocol?
2. be good to make clear it is http/https GET based.
3. "auto" type is the default if type is omitted?
4. "none" type is read only (e.g. for temperature)?

I started on https://github.com/clach04/homeapp_demo_server as a demo - only commands and the example from wiki.

Missing:

• other mode types
• discovery
