Dear developers and users,
I encountered a data-reading issue while using the xmitgcm package to access LLC4320 for my study. After several attempts, I noticed that the download URLs used by xmitgcm/llcreader appear to be outdated relative to the current portal structure: the package builds paths of the form .../ecco/download_data.php?file=/eccodata/llc_4320/..., whereas files are now served at .../ecco/llc_4320/....
Could you please confirm whether I have understood this issue correctly?
Separately, I intend to use LLC4320 for a part of the world ocean that is not included under regions/. However, it appears that the global dataset is not yet complete (unlike the regional products) — for example, some grid files such as XC.data and YC.data seem to be missing from .../llc_4320/grid/, and the compressed output is available only at irregular iteration numbers. Could you also advise whether LLC4320 is currently usable for the full global ocean, or whether it is not yet fully ready?
Thank you for your help and for maintaining this package.
Sincerely,
Kamran
