Atm, a report is unique only because of TweetID.

It would be better for a report to be unique because of the missing person's ID

That's a good idea! Currently, we have duplicated reports from different tweets, so making a report unique by the missing person's ID would improve the platform. Do you have any suggestions on how to implement this? And would you be able to take on this task?

I'm currently looking into how we can make the whole process more formal ie.

• how reporting happens :
  • which pieces of info are mandatory?
  • who can update existing info : family? LSK? admins? The reporting person?
  • what counts as proof of abduction or release?
• What about past abductions?

check this out. This is another repo with a similar goal : kaka-ruto/carpitan#20.
They are using Ruby though.

from my portfolio, you can tell that I'm not good at web development and I focus on embedded-Rust.
